a new photograph every posting... and an inside line to my dreary life

Greetings Citizens. The kids are in full-blown scramble mode as they attempt to get 15 week's worth of work done in 4 days... 5, if you count the Sabbath! It is not a good time to be up there! It is crowded and crazy!

I'm going to walk down to the bakery this morning to order cinnamon rolls for the final critiques. (Nothing like handling photographs and eating sticky, gooey pastries)! One of the bakers is a relative of my friend Dave, so I should be able to pick up the treats earlier than the bakery usually makes them.

Tonight is "Hockey Night." Me, Dave & Hubba are going to see the Aggies play Weber State.

Tomorrow is football at Hubba's place. We might play a little pool too. I'm making jambalaya and need to get the groceries today.

I'm also getting ready to go on a printing frenzy! I need to make Christmas gifts and pay off a debt. I have enough ink and paper, I think.

Greetings Citizens. Today I visited my nutritionist. And for the first time in ages, I am under 300 pounds. I still have a long way to go (for sure!) but I am very pleased. I've been walking more than usual, eating better and reducing the size of my portions.

I've been working on my classes for next term and I am excited about the Color II class. I think it will be fun and allow many students to explore some crazy ideas and fail. But, to me anyway, failing is a very important component of learning Photography. The trick is to make the failing fun!

All the kids are beginning to get a little stressed out. Finals week is next week and the scramble to get 15 weeks of work done in 5 days is upon them. I don't envy them. I remember the stress and it wasn't all that much fun. But I am seeing some fine work from the kids and I can't wait to see their final portfolios.

Greetings Citizens. School is wrapping up and the kids are working hard. Me & Kathy submitted a proposal for a summer workshop teaching photogravure. I'm going to need to get in touch with Lothar to see how he makes the positive digitally.

Went to the Friday Night Art Walk tonight. Brooke had some wonderful pastels at the Cafe Ibis and Clay Custer had some great abstract painting at the AVA. I was so inspired when I got home I actually made some work of my own.
